Dear alumni and friends,

Spring bluebonnets and warm breezes are back on the Forty Acres, reminding us of yet another milestone for thousands of Longhorns who will graduate soon. We are excited to congratulate a new class of international Longhorn graduates and begin sending more than 1,400 students around the world for transformational learning experiences. We’re also celebrating recent achievements upon which we will continue to build.

With great pride and optimism, we announced the establishment of our Mexico Global Gateway in Mexico City. The gateway positions us to expand academic exchanges, advance research collaborations, and deepen our engagement with esteemed partners and alumni across Mexico and the region.

Texas Global’s Campus Internationalization Event Fund has facilitated several notable events recently,
including the Redefining Health Care Summit in Barcelona. Presented by UT Austin’s Value Institute for
Health and Care, the summit gathered innovators from 20 countries to discuss their values and approaches to transforming health care.

The 40 for Forty campaigns yielded more than $20,000 for the 2021-2022 academic year. Notably, financial support for international students has quadrupled over the two previous academic years, and Texas Global has tripled its number of sustaining donors. We’re deeply grateful for these contributions from our community.

And finally, it was an honor to speak to UT News about the Texas Global mission and our plans for further bolstering the university’s international reach. Please take a few moments to enjoy these stories of our shared success in global engagement.
